Naked on a Wednesday After 100,000 Miles

Yep. Its true. But it isn't exactly like it sounds.

Yes it is Wednesday. And yes, I am naked in the sense that I left my cell phone at home this morning. You know that little niggling feeling you get when you leave the house and you know you've forgotten something, but it isn't enough of a feeling to make you actually go back inside and double check your mental list of "what did I leave where"? I got about four miles out from the house when I realized it was my cell phone that was missing. Just far enough that I wasn't turning back for it. This must be how newborns feel right after the umbilical is cut; right when they take their first poop on their own.

So I'm naked and on my way to school my silver truck turned 100,000 miles. Monumental? Probably not. A clunker? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure she has at least another 100,000 miles in her. But I was naked today and had no way to record the odometer tripping to 100,000. No pocket cam anyway. No instant nostalgia on the internet. Another moment passing. But recorded here. And not forgotten.
